Outside of the office I stay active boat building, fishing, climbing, and cycling. I recently completed the construction of a traditional Cape Kiwanda Dory named “Kapetan.” Keep an eye out for it in its home port of Pacific City! In my youth, I was an avid rock climber and cyclist. I had the opportunity to climb El Capitan in 1979 and participate in the Coors Classic Bicycle race in 1983. I continue to stay active in these sports and other outdoor activities while traveling and enjoying life with my wife, Lynn and labradoodle, Waldo.
